Impulse reactor

The impulse reactor is the component that creates impulse power in an impulse engine aboard a spacecraft. Typical impulse reactors for Federation starships are fusion power plants. On occasion, impulse reactors need to be purged. A vessel's velocity can be corresponded to impulse reactor output.
