Area Descriptions
Command Center
The Command Center of an Immense-class Star Base is a spacious oblong shape, with a high, curved, ceiling.
The forward wall of the room has a large holographic display, which projects above and in 'front' of the room. The room lacks a traditional 'command' seat or command area, however several of the workstations have seats.
The central area is open, with a large command table mounted with three chairs on each side and one at each end. This table can be used for strategic planning, general meetings, or any other need which may arise. The table has the ability to project a holographic image above.
There are a total of twenty multipurpose workstations around the room, with three on each of the side walls, and six along the back wall. The remaining eight arranged into two clusters near the center of the room, flanking the command table.
There are four floor maintenance hatches, placed about the room, and three methods of exit.
The center of the aft wall has a set of two lifts side-by-side; on the left wall is a standard doorway which leads to a set of offices and meeting rooms; and on the right wall is a door which leads into a formal conference room.
The command center is based in the center of the base, on level 314, in a heavily shielded area. It contains an independent computer core, fusion reactor, and life support. It has integrated shielding and blast walls which can be activated to secure it in the event of invasion of the base. It also contains its own subspace transmitter array.
