Personal History

A born scholar she took to books as quickly as her people took to their sexuality. Although she certainly indulged in, and appreciated, the uniquely intimate relations that only her people could truly indulge in, she found it to be a distraction and a hindrance to her studies. Though she found the oath of celibacy to be insulting—she’d been taught self-control amongst non-Deltans at a young age, plus she saw the ban as much an indictment on humans continued underdeveloped sexuality, she tolerated it because it dovetailed with her own desires at the time. As she grew older, she knew that non-Deltans could not give her the pleasure that she sought, making keeping the vow simpler.

After publishing several papers on theoretical astrophysics and making her intentions known to her superiors, she got an invitation to teach at the Academy, which she quickly took without hesitation
