Personal History
James was born on the Earth Lunar Colony, Tycho City due to an early birth (he was a week earlier than expected). Due to the fact that his birth being a bit unexpected, James’ mother, Amanda, was on vacation to the Lunar Colonies with her husband, Fredrick, and daughter, Britney. A week after his birth, James’ family went back to Washington.
It was when James took his first history class, when he became in love with the idea of being in Star Fleet. He had always known of Star Fleet (living on Earth, how could one not?), but it wasn't until he learned about the "Phoenix" and Zefram Cochrane, when he knew he was going to join. James wanted to discover something, he wanted to go down in the history books just like Cochrane did and he knew that Star Fleet would be the best way to go about getting that done.
After a few years past, that drive to be in the history books faded and was replaced with the excitement of discovering a gaggle of new worlds.
In grade school, James made friends with a Vulcan, named Salik. Over the course of their friendship, Salik taught James how to calm his thoughts and think logically. In turn, James taught Salik how to play the saxophone. They remain good friends to this day.
Being close friends with a Vulcan, James had visited Planet Vulcan on a few occasions. Ironically though, James has never been to its capital city, Shanai'Kahr. While he has been to Vulcan, he and Salik never really did a whole lot there. This was because Salik and his parents lived on Earth, near James. By the time they got old enough (that is, when their parents would let them) they decided to spend most of their time exploring Earth. This was a decision that James still regrets, mainly because he lives on Earth. He felt that he could explore his home planet whenever, he wanted to go out and see the universe.
As James grew older, his love of people grew with him. He had gone from a caring little boy to a heartfelt young man. He never understood the need to solve conflicts with violence and decided to join the medical faction of Star Fleet. James knew he couldn’t stop wars from happening, but that didn’t mean that he had to just accept that death has to happen because of those wars.
He made himself a promise as he graduated from the Academy and was stationed on the Enterprise, he would never allow a death to happen, if he has the power to stop it. Even if that meant giving up his own life.

Hobbies and Pastimes: Saxophone, exploring and being in the great outdoors.
Short-Term Goals: To do everything in his power to save all that he treats.
Long-Term Goals: command his own starship.
Personality: James has a sense of loyalty and honor that would put any Klingon to shame. Trustworthy and honest, he is what anyone would call a true friend. That being said, he is not without his faults; James will do what he is told (he has no problems following orders) but, at times, he can be very stubborn about things, such as not allowing those he helps to just die. He is also extremely unwilling to die or fight for a cause that he doesn't believe in, he believes that every being has the right to live, from a Cardassin terrorist to a young child. James is always sure of himself and a bit of a flirt, yet sadly, that sureness could be viewed as arrogance to some.
Sense of Humor: Loves the classics, James finds slapstick comedy to be the best and spends a lot of his free time watching classic earth cartoons (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, etc.).
Phobias: Not a great fan of heights. He hates being on top of a ladder, though oddly enough, he is fine looking down that of a great cliff. As well as shuttlecrafts, he doesn’t like the cramped quarters and the feeling of claustrophobia sets in. Because of this, he will gladly go into a transporter over a shuttle.
Likes: Listens and plays old earth jazz and blues circa 1940. He tries his best to practice the meditation that Salik taught him. Loves animals.
Dislikes: Liars, as well as the belief of “an eye for an eye”.
Pet Peeves or Gripes: Death. James understands that everyone dies, he just hates the fact that he is no Q (and thus cannot help those who are out of his reach).
Achievements: To date is greatest achievement has been being assigned to a starship that carries the name, “Enterprise”.
Disappointments: The knowledge that no matter how hard he tries, those close to him will die.
Illnesses: None.
Strengths: Stands by his friends, no matter what. Believes in truth and honor. He will never give up, no matter how much the odds are against him.
Weaknesses: His greatest strength is also his greatest weakness, he will never give up. It is also extremely difficult for him to accept the help of others.
Fears: While he does not fear death, he does believe that if someone can be saved, no matter how slim of a chance, they do not deserve to die. One of his greatest fears is that of being alone and at the same time he HATES being physically close to a lot of people at once (i.e. a shuttlecraft)
Prejudices: James tries to keep an open mind about everything and ironically enough, he hates that there are those who are close minded.
Off Duty Clothing Tastes: As long as it fits him, he can be pretty easy going about what he wears.
Pets: None at the moment, loves dogs as well as all form of animals.
