WAR!

Today, the Romulan Star Empire crossed the Neutral Zone in a devastating attack on the Federation. Several Federation Starships are reported missing and many bases along the Neutral Zone have been destroyed. Imperial Romulan starships are also reported to have attacked starships of the Gorn Confederation. Just over a year ago, a mutual aggression pact was signed between the Federation and the Gorn Confederation. The Gorn ambassador has pledged his people's support.

Assassination Attempts!

As part of a multi-faceted attack, Romulan Tal Shiar agents infiltrated Star Fleet disguised as Vulcans. An attempted assassination of the Federation President was foiled by the President's security team. Several members of the Federation Council were less fortunate. The Andorian, Tellerite and Caitian representatives were all assassinated in their homes. An attempt was also made to disrupt the command structure of Star Fleet when FAdm Jon Beckett became the target of an assassination. That attempt was foiled by Marines stationed on Star Base 1.

All ready reserve and home guard unit have been activated. All Star Fleet members are ordered to report to their duty stations immediately.
