The Haliians are a species from Halii and have been Federation members for an indeterminate amount of time. Physically, they are distinguished by their foreheads, which have slight a bulge above each eyebrow. They also have a distinctive crevice between the brows, on the bridge of the nose.
A telepathic species, the Haliians are limited to person-to-person contact empathy. A special crystal called a "Canar," when held by an Haliian, has the potential to greatly increase their telepathic abilities, allowing them to 'bond' with others and share their thoughts.
Culture
One of their holidays is the Batarael, at which a traditional song called the Horath is sung.
They also favor a type of beverage known as "Muskan seed punch."
