Personal History
Kralton was born on September 19 to Cheryl and Craig Gylanna.
After he was born the relationship between Cheryl and Craig began getting very rocky, eventually ending is Craig leaving and later divorcing Cheryl. When Kralton was 12 months old, Cheryl met Kevin, and the slowly started seeing each other more often until they eventually got married on June 12 of the next year. Kevin is the only father that Kralton has known, and Cheryl intends to keep it that way. They live near San Francisco, not too far from the Academy.
Kralton grew up looking out his window at the Academy, always curious as to what exactly was in there. Neither Kevin nor Cheryl had been part of the Academy, so when he started asking questions about it, neither of them could come up with any significant answers. When he ran into a recruitment officer at a local store, he quickly got the answers he was looking for. Before long he wanted to join the Academy, but he didn’t know what he wanted to do for the Federation. When he was 16, he seemed to have an aptitude for memorizing schematics, and finding small repair details that others would often miss.
When he was 17 he had helped construct a small shuttle as part of a school project. It was very crude, had no weapons, no LCARS system, and no warp, but it flew. Soon after that he was struck with a disease thought to have been eradicated (Meniere’s Disease), causing him to lose a significant amount of his hearing. He can hear, but it is a little more difficult for him, and his speech sounds slightly slurred. However, he wasn’t going to let that stop him from going into the Academy.
At age 18 he had already decided that he was going to join the Academy, but for his mother’s sake he held off on joining for a year. It was during that time that he met his current girlfriend, Caroline. They had met while he was out working on programming an LCARS system for the small shuttle which had since been shined up, and had a few finishing touches put on. When a large panel hit him on the head after falling out of its brackets, she was walking by his house as it happened. She rushed to his side and stayed there until he regained consciousness, he was in a hospital with her sitting by his side.
As soon as he could speak he thanked her profusely, and that moment started a long relationship. They had their hard times, but mostly it was pretty smooth. At age 19, he had informed her that he wanted to join the Academy. She was not overall happy with that decision, so for her, he stayed out one more year. Now that he is in his twenties, all the people that matter to him are prepared for his entrance into the academy.
After his graduation from the academy, he was immediately placed aboard the USS Copernicus where he served under the command of Captain Stewart and Department Head Lt. Peter Powell. After his first mission, a new probe was designed by Kralton that allowed it to enter a planets core, and get any readings from the core due to a specialized cooling system that kept the probe stable at extremely high temperatures. Soon thereafter he was promote to Ensign, and still served aboard the Copernicus.
After Kralton’s first mission aboard the Copernicus he again was promoted very quickly to Lt [JG] and went to a meeting of the entire Starfleet called the Exodus. They soon found out that there were planets “disappearing.” However, the Copernicus not sent on any missions towards the planets that were disappearing. They were sent to the Gamma Cephei A sector where they visited a planet called Aqua that was very similar to Earth. Upon arrival back from the planetary Away Team Kralton received orders that he would be the Department Head of the USS Yeager, a Columbus class scout ship. Easy to say Kralton jumped at the opportunity.
Personality Profile

Hobbies and Pastimes: Working on his shuttle, examining past ships schematics, and
comparing them to current schematics to see how different systems have improved.
Short-Term Goals: To possibly be married to Caroline, though he is not entirely ready for that kind of a commitment. Also, graduation from the Academy ranks high on high short
term priority list.
Long-Term Goals: To eventually become the captain of a ship, and possibly achieve the
rank of commodore at some point.
Personality: Very kind, though sometimes he seems distant because of his lack of
hearing. His other senses have not sharpened up as most other deaf peoples’ would.
Sense of Humor: He loves a good joke, tends to tell a fair few jokes himself, and has a
very hearty laugh.
Phobias: None.
Likes: Enjoys getting his hands dirty, a good day’s work, trying to fix something that
presents a puzzle.
Dislikes: Coffee, simply because of the crash later, getting yelled at, and not finding
something wrong the first time
Pet Peeves or Gripes: When people bash talk the old ships, people that are hypertensive
Bad Habits or Vices: Chews fingers in private when extremely nervous
Disappointments: Not joining Star Fleet when he had first considered it.
Illnesses: Meniere’s Disease(Cause significant hearing loss. Has approx. 60% hearing in
one ear, 65% in the other. Refuses to wear hearing aids)
Strengths: Solving puzzles, and 21st Century combat in the holodeck.
Weaknesses: Can get stressed, but not often.
Fears: Warp core breaches, and plasma fires, and loose panels.
Prejudices: None.
Off Duty Clothing Tastes: Anything that is comfortable in his quarters, in 10 Forward he usually wears jeans, and a t-shirt.
Distinguishing Features: His multi-colored eyes, tidiness of clothing, and well kept hair.

Most Painful Experience: Getting hit on the head with that panel, literally.
