Personal History

When he was born, the first face he saw was his father’s face expressing happiness. As a Vulcan, his father never learned to suppress his emotions, but later taught his son via holodeck to even though he never pursued it. For the beginning of his life, he always had trouble understanding his strength even though he knew he had it. Home was always the same. They never moved until he had started his Starfleet career. Spock played a great roll in his life from the history he had studied. Ambassador Spock had the influence behind training him to understand emotional suppression.

When Johnathon was eight, he began to understand the reason as to why he should suppress his emotion. One of his acquaintances had angered him a great deal and the anger over took him. He nearly killed the young human, but his father intervened before he could finish the job. That very day the guilt consumed him and convinced him to suppress his emotion. He had never meditated before in his life, and yet here he found himself so consumed in his own guilt, his hands almost forced themselves to meditate.

The day he began his meditation, his friends became acquaintances and his emotions slowly faded. Although it’s a lifelong pursuit, the action of it and the timing helped him to proceed faster than most. By the time he was 15, he had nearly controlled himself to a point of ridiculousness. He didn’t let anything through, but occasionally he let things out. It was a good thing he had learned to deeply meditate, because within the next two years the Pan Faar struck him. The next week was spent in deep meditation, in which he contemplated his future.

By the time his Pan Faar finished, his decision to join Starfleet was sound. He excelled in his high school classes the next few years and immediately started his training in the academy. During his high school years, he had participated in only one sport that interested him. Parisies squares wasn’t always logical, but it was a successful outlet if he needed to express emotion. When his varsity team had reached a championship standing, it was one of the most exhilarating times in his life. His joy of being the champion team was interrupted quickly when their trophy was revoked for using drugs.

He felt so pale on the outside, yet he retained his current pigment. His stomach turned in ways he couldn’t even imagine. He felt like his favorite baseball player as a child, Shoeless Joe Jackson. He was the only player without the drugs in his system, just as Jackson was the only player trying to win the game. He graduated a month later with distinguished marks, and top of his class. Today, he stands on the verge of graduating from Star fleet Academy and awaits his final tests.
