Ganymede is the third moon of Jupiter.

It is the largest moon in the system, named after one of the Greek gods in Terran mythology.

Possessing a metallic core, it is composed of approximately equal amounts of silicate rock and water. This moon completes a revolution every seven days and three hours.

It is also tidally locked, with one side always facing toward the planet it orbits, hence its day being seven days and three hours.
