Personal History

Kit is unaware of where exactly she was born. Only that her parents, for some reason, abandoned her. As

much research as she has done into the system, she cannot find any trace of a Betazoid woman passing on the day of her birth nor surrounding it. The young black eyed baby was picked up by a young man that was passing by and heard the screams of the hungry infant as it lay discarded on a park bench in a small infant carrier so that it would not fall. Covered in soiled blankets for the length that she had been laying there the man quickly called the authorities. They came quickly enough and took the young baby off to a hospital to be checked out. There, she was fixed up, cleaned up, and they waited to see if anyone would claim her. They put her face on the news feeds, but no one stepped forward to claim the baby as their own though many tried to initate adoption of the unwanted child.

Just before her first birthday, she was finally adopted by the Frost family. They lived in the country of Japan and would be able to tend well to the young child. Prepared even for the telepathy and empathic abilities that the young girl would have growing up. A strict and harsh application process weeded out many couples but the Frost family was able to come in and take the young girl home. Kit was given her name from a book that her father had been reading on the way over on the plane. They lived in a small two bedroom apartment in the center of Tokyo and the young girl grew up rather quickly. Her parents made sure she saw a Betazoid counsellor to help her develop and control her gifts and understand the nature of them and how to use them, when to use them, and the ethics involved. She was a rather happy child, for the most part, she worked hard and excelled at school. She was not the top of the class but she was pretty close to it. Kitsuki never really liked her full name and went by Kit as early as grade school. Kit was the sort that threw herself into everything that she could and enjoyed it all. Though she was especially gifted when it came to sorting, making plans, strategies of attack, and finding weaknesses in thick battlefields of information. She soon began to make a name for herself and other students would seek out her guidance. She had heard here and there about Starfleet and it was always the goal of many of the kids she went to school with and she began to set her sights on it as well. Her grades were good enough and after aptitude tests were finished she found herself accepted to Starfleet.

Kit said goodbye to the only home and family she had ever known. She waved good bye to her friends and her family and headed off to the Academy. It was like she had always belonged there. She fell into her environment with gusto and launched into her studies. She hardly had any time for anything else but she learned how to swim and enjoyed it. So she found herself swimming in the pool in her free time. She enjoyed all of the physical activities and was often found in the gym as well. When her body was too tired to push she would read books in the gardens or by the sunlit windows in the commons.

There she met a boy that she would date for a little while. His name was Tate, and he was the first guy that she had ever really been interested in. They dated a bit here and there, though studies kept it from being too serious. Tate was older than her and graduated first by a year. They said their goodbyes on his graduation day as he headed off to his first assignment. Kit knew that she would get there eventually and while she was sad to lose Tate, she was glad that he was going on. They kept in touch over messages here and there which gradually grew more distant as time went on.

During her last year, she made a good friend who became her best friend. They met and enjoyed swimming at the pool together and she and Orion were best friends until they graduated together. They were both assigned separate ships. Frost was sent off to the USS Victory.

There she dove into her work and worked hard so that she could make a name for herself. Writing to her family every chance that she got. She loved her family and missed them. Without her they were traveling all over and enjoying themselves. Every week they send her pictures of their latest locations and things that they are doing. She stayed on the Victory for a long time until a large position became available on the USS Intrepid. Requesting transfer and getting accepted was a dream come true. The large ship was exactly where she wanted to be.

However, it wasn't long before she realized that the USS Intrepid might not be the ship for her. Thus, she requested a transfer off. Which, in hindsight was a small mistake, as she was sent off to a ice planet to help with a Science research outpost. Though, as fate would have it, the USS Artemis showed up not too long after her assignment to the planet and she was able to transfer to the new ship among new crew to continue her adventure and training.
