Personal History

Born thirty years ago on a planet that to this day he has not identified, he remembers little of his short life with his family, only that they were the happiest of his life and that he would do anything to get them back. His family was struck down by what some believed to have been Sakuro’s Disease, others the Telurian Plague. For some strange reason, young Deimos was spared, later it was discovered that this was because his real father was the Ambassador of the Elasian people, who were naturally immune to whatever affliction struck down his Klingon family. A year later he fell victim to a severe case of Rop’ngor, which after many strenuous weeks, he pulled through and survived. Taken to the nearest Star Base for examinations by Doctors of the Federation, it was from that time onwards that Deimos strode to fulfill his promise to his dying parents, and began his interest in the study of medical sciences. Due to this he has been known to travel from planet to planet, researching each's inhabitants and their anatomy, medical history and known diseases. He also hopes to write a book on new cures and vaccines for otherwise-thought incurable diseases. Progress on this book is slow, with many an experiment proving unsuccessful. He also has relating interests in Botany and Pathology, as it is a smaller dream of his to be the first Klingon doctor to examine and diagrammatize a new alien lifeform's body. What followed was a fruitful medical career within the Federation, albeit one cut short when his latent Klingon warrior strength was inadvertantly activated on an Away Mission, causing him to lose the delicacy and light-handedness that had made him such a good doctor.

It was somewhat due to this, and a decision on his own behalf, that Deimos then transferred to Security onboard the Philladelphia before transferring to the Darwin when the Philly, at the time, was decommissioned. During this time, Deimos was visited by the clone of his dead mother, who took a blood sample with the intention of taking it back to the rogue scientist who had created her. His purpose, to experiment upon the clones of his parents - and many more - in the hopes of curing rare diseases whilst creating biological weapons that targetted specific species only. Once his mother had left him, Frarg tried to return to active duty, but found his conscience wouldn't let him, so he took a leave of absence to begin what would soon prove to be the long ad turbulent (not to say unsanctioned) manhunt for the scientist who had created her.

Allying with likeminded rebels (most of whom also had loved ones being cloned), Deimos fought along side them in his battle to locate and stop the corrupt scientist, far in the Delta Quadrant. During one such battle, Deimos lost a considerable amount of his face and brain when a fragmentation grenade went off. Fortunately, the rebels' medical and technical staff were not only able to save his life, but were able to augment him with a bionic replacement.

Back to fighting power, Frarg led the charge once more and eventually breeched the scientist's stronghold. As the rebels proceeded to destroy everything in sight, Frarg hunted the scientist down, experiencing Klingon rage for one of the first times in his life. When he found the man, the scientist was experimenting on a clone of Deimos that he had created from the blood sample Frarg had given to his mother all those years ago. A struggle ensued, during which Deimos recieved a cut from the bottom of his titanium mask to the left corner of his mouth (had he not had the mask, Deimos is sure he would have lost his left eye, or worse) before killing the scientist in self-defence. What followed was a harrowing experience he wouldn't soon forget; the clone of himself - the closest thing he had to a blood sibling - died before his very eyes, its vitals (like every other clone) connected to the scientist's biometrics so that if he died, all evidence of his work died with him. The clone cursed his name with its last breath, announcing him the murderer of hundreds, and the killer of hopes for a disease-free future. With tears in his eyes, Deimos activated the self-destruct sequence of the facility, and watched it explode and burn long into the night.

Although his actions were done after his official retirement from Star Fleet, Frarg nevertheless submitted himself to the Federation for a full trial. He recounted his exploits at length, wishing that it be known that he did everything of his own accord and that he had no backing from anyone within Star Fleet. The minor details were made public, likewise at his own request, so that no more secrets would be held about the tragic affair. The court ruled that although he had killed a man, it was purely in self-defence, and far outside Federation jurisdiction, so he would not be sentence to serve time in a federal prison. Feeling like there was more that should be done, Frarg pleaded with the court to be reinstated to Star Fleet, so that he could show everyone that he was willing to rebuild his reputation and serve the Federation once more. After lengthy deliberation the court agreed on the ruling that he would return as Midshipman.

Personality Profile

Academy Major(s): Medical Sciences, Security Procedure, Tactical (Klingon Academy)
Academy Minor(s): Biology, Pathology, Strategy
Hobbies and Pastimes: Holodeck Murder Mystery simulations, collecting ancient Earth weaponry
Short-Term Goals: To regain his reputation, and the trust of his fellow officers.
Long-Term Goals: To ultimately prove the above by attaining the rank of Captain or Commander.
Personality: Tries his hardest to fit in, but his sombre mood added to his known recent history makes it hard for him to get along with most people.
Sense of Humor: Dry, witty, sarcastic
Phobias: That by accidentally killing the scientist, he really has condemned millions - maybe billions - to deaths such as the one that took his family.
Likes: Holodeck Murder Mystery simulations, where he can put his scientific knowledge and forensic interests to use
Dislikes: Modern music, Synth-rock
Pet Peeves or Gripes: When someone can't forgive his past, despite his best efforts.
Achievements: Created a vaccine, from his own immunity, that has a 50-50 chance of protecting all alien species of surviving the deadly virus that took his family
Disappointments: He couldn't successfully create a sure-fire cure for the disease that killed his family
Illnesses: Suffered from a severe case of Rop’ngor at the age of 6, a year after his family died. But Deimos was so adamant that he would not fail his parents that he pulled through by grim determination and what some would call a miracle
Strengths: Is naturally immune to the disease that wiped-out his family, latent Klingon warrior strength that kicked in around four years ago
Weaknesses: Isn't a natural fighter, resorts to force only as a means to protect others.
Fears: That, at the end of his life, he had ultimately failed his parents (maybe twice)
Prejudices: Elasians. Though he himself is part Elasian, Deimos prefers to be called a full Klingon because he feels that the Elasians abandoned him when his family died
Off Duty Clothing Tastes: Deimos likes to dress smart as it makes him feel more comfortable then wearing a shirt and jeans
Distinguishing Features: Shallow cheekbones. The top-left quarter of his face (cheek upwards) is incased in titanium from a hellacious battle that caused him to lose a part of his head. Inside the casing sits a bionic brain grafted into his own, almost like a prothetic; with it, he can see an enhanced tactical readout over his left eye at all times, and the eye can also record data for storage, giving him a 'photographic memory' when played back. He also has a light-skinned scar running from the bottom of the mask to the corner of his mouth.
Friends: Libien Ante, son of the Elasian Ambassador (who is also Deimos' biological father, making Libien his half-brother), but they lost contact years ago

Personal Paradigm Shifts

Most Painful Experience: Watching helplessly as his entire family died of some alien disease, he himself only being naturally immune because he was actually the child of his mother and the Ambassador of Elasia, whose race are born immune to the deadly virus
Best Time: When he was informed that he was finally ready to achieve his goal and study at the Star Fleet Academy.
Most Crucial Experience: The trial, which to him was more like a baptism by fire as his past exploits were revealed and dealt with, allowing him to move on both professionally and personally.
Role Model: Leonard McCoy, whose strong will, determination and never-ending patience Deimos hopes to one day to also possess, no matter what department he's in.
