Farpoint Station

Farpoint Station was, at first, a starbase built in an extremely short time on Deneb IV. The Bandi offered this station to Starfleet for use in exchange for joining the Federation and gaining their protection. As the Bandi were not a very advanced civilization, Starfleet was intrigued by this engineering performance. However, upon investigation, it was found that the Bandi had not constructed the station, and had instead enslaved a space-born entity to act as a space station for them. Their secret exposed, Farpoint Station as it had been known was destroyed, and had to be rebuilt with Federation assistance.

By this date, a new Farpoint Station has completed construction, and the Bandi have been allowed to join the Federation.
