An Eska

The Eska are a technologically-advanced humanoid species. They have large, bony, bumpy ridges that begin at the nose, proceed up the nose, and then up through the forehead. The ridges have two smaller ridges that run parallel on either side. The browlines of this species are thicker than on Humans, and cause slight, smooth ridges that pass over the eyebrow regions of the face.

The Federation first encountered them when the Enterprise, NX-01 visited a rogue planet by the name of Dakala, in 2151. The Starfleet crew learned that for at least nine generations, small Eska hunting parties stalked and killed the indigenous lifeforms that resided on Dakala, in particular, the beings known as the Wraiths.

Starships, at least ones that carried hunting parties, were small.

The only thing known about the Eska's home solar system is that their star is a K-class star.
