Diagnostic Levels

Each level indicates how much disruption the required diagnostic will cause to the systems that it is being run for, due to how in depth they will be.

In other words a Level 5 Diagnostic will take a lot less time than a Level 1 Diagnostic, but will not be as in depth of a check. Further, there are no set times because it is different depending on the system you are checking. A Level 4 Diagnostics on a replicator will take way less time than a Level 4 Diagnostic on the warp core, etc.

1. Take system out of service, full shutdown, manual inspection, observed re-initialization, manual testing.

2. Take system out of service, limited manual inspection, crew monitored automated tests.

3. Take system out of service, minimal manual inspection, automated tests.

4. Take system out of service, automated tests.

5. Automated tests.
