Personal History
Born in the Avignon region of France, Achilles is the son of Charline and Dion, two world famous wine makers. As Achilles was growing up, his parents tried to interest him in the art of wine making. But fermenting never interested him. Instead, he loved hearing stories about ancient Greek and Roman myths about the heros and gods. His favorite Greek hero was his namesake, Achilles.
He would spend afternoons pretending to be the Greek hero bounding from place to place fighting off imaginary monsters on his parents’ vineyard. It was this want to be a hero that led him to want to be a Star Fleet Officer. He entered the academy, and exited as a security officer, signing on with the \u{USS Gibraltar}.
But things change. While out on a mission, the Gibraltar was ambushed by a band of space pirates. 17 were killed and numerous others were injured. It was his best friend that died in his hands that caused him to reevaluate his life and determined that he needed a change of scenery and direction in his life. He applied for and was accepted in a job as an Instructor at the Academy.
He took certification courses when he came back and became a qualified instructor in all subjects.
