Star System

Denobula, also known as Iota Bootis, is a star system within the Milky Way’s Alpha Quadrant.

The star system is approximately 94.8 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 4.8, and its absolute visual magnitude is 2.5, making it about 9 times brighter than Sol. The system’s primary star is a blue subgiant with a stellar classification of A9 and an average temperature of about 9,875 degrees Kelvin, but its inhabited primary star, actually the system’s tertiary star, is a yellow subgiant with a stellar classification of G9 and an average temperature of about 5,960 degrees Kelvin. The stellar classification of its secondary star is F. (See also the Astronomical Terms Database.)

Planetary System

The Denobula Triaxa star system hosts an inhabited planetary system with no less than one planet. Denobula, a planet within the planetary system, and the Denobulan homeworld, is the origin of the star system’s common name. Its inhabitants are members of the United Federation of Planets.

A single supercontinent dominates the entirety of the planet’s landmass, and it is naturally subject to seismic activity, as are the continents of many other worlds.
