D'Arsay

The D'Arsay were an alien race who originated in what is only known as the "D'Arsay system" some 87 million years ago.

During their period of being, they built several archives, including one which was discovered by the crew of the USS Enterprise-D in 2370, located in the center of a rogue comet.

• The particular archive found by the Enterprise-D contained records of artifacts and personalities from D'Arsay mythology.
  Able to use the Federation starship's replicator, the archive transformed part of the ship into the setting of an epic drama involving Masaka, a sun goddess.
  The archive was also able to alter the positronic brain of Lt. Commander Data in order to portray several characters from the same D'Arsay myth.

The terminal fate of the D'Arsay is unknown, simply that the species launched the remains of their civilization into space aboard a robotic time capsule.

In 2409, archaeological evidence was found: Gravestones from their people were found on planet Theta Caeli 670 in the Beta Quadrant, revealing clues about their biology.

Humanoid, in nature, they were apparently a poikliothermic species, meaning their internal temperature varied along with their surroundings.
