Personal History

Nora was an orphan. That fact has defined the early years of her existence. As a baby, she was found at the door step of a hospital, wrapped in an expensive purple blanket. This was the only item she has with any connection to her biological parents. From that point on, her life followed the usual path; Orphanage, school and finally the career choice.

She found a Star Fleet academy stand at her school’s career fair, her interest peeked, mostly due to the fact that Star Fleet would provide her with room and pay while attending the academy. This made a lot of sense to young Nora as she was already on track for medical school, and she trying to figure out the logistics of it all. So she applied and her excellent academic scores helped secure her acceptance. The downside to that arrangement was that in exchange for receiving free medical training at Star Fleet academy, Nora had to serve for a number of years before being released from her contract with the entity. This was something she was looking forward to. Nora Cyr chose her last name once she became of age. It was the name of the orphanage late superintendent who had always showed her great affection and love. The day Mrs. Cyr passed away left a big impact on young Nora, and in part, motivated her to get into the medical field.
