Personal History
Kaja was born on Earth. Her mother was staying with her grandparents (her mother's parents).Her mother was from Betazed and her grandfather was from earth.That is something her parents had in common,both of their fathers were human and their mothers were from other planets with the different cultures that entailed. Kaja's older brother Marcus was a constant torment growing up.To this day her relationship with her brother is strained. She stayed on earth for two years and then her life aboard starships began. Sometimes her parents were stationed together like now and other times they would serve on different ships or at star bases. Kaja's mother was a counselor even before she met her father, being half Betazoid helped her in that regard. Kaja's father was a medical officer as well. His Denobulan mother was a doctor and it seemed only natural for him to become one as well. Both her parents fathers were earth ambassadors.
Kaja's always had more of an affinity for the medical field growing up she was her fathers shadow.The most profound experience occurred while with her father when she was asked to join a medical mission that resulted in saving 400 lives from a devastating plague.At that moment kaja's path seemed all to clear she would become a doctor and serve in starfleet. Kaja's brother Marcus is on earth and serves as a diplomat their with his wife and two children.Although Kaja is 32 and in her Denobulan grandmothers view to old not to be married at least once.She has as yet to find any one remotely interesting.
Some of the best times of her growing up is when she would go home to earth and go mountain climbing with her best friend Dana. Dana was a constant friend and understood her better than anyone. Kaja though 1/4 Denobulan and 1/4 Betazoid did not appreciate some of the customs including the Betazoid wedding ritual of not wearing clothes during ceremony or the Denobulan custom of multiple spouses. This would cause conflict at times which her best friend Dana understood as she was half Klingon. She has always wanted to be in Starfleet as far back as she can remember.
