Personal History

E'lenr grew up on Vulcan and had very few if no friends. This was due to the half Vulcan status of her mother and the willingness of her father to marry her. Her mother T'Penni grew up on Vulcan however also embraced some human customs. Sonath is T'Penni's T'hy'la, he found her almost dead at the bottom of a cliff after a climbing accident. Sonath is a Vulcan healer specializing in the Vulcan cardiovascular system. T'Penni is a musician, who plays piano due to tutelage when she was younger - now teaches the art of music.

E'lenr excelled in every subject and was brought up on the teachings of Surak, purging all emotions. However, her human side does give her more connection to her emotions. She found sciences and the idea of space and the universe particularly fascinating and at the age of 16 decided that she would go down that track. She underwent the Kahs-wan like most of her kin and also was bonded to a Vulcan by the name of S'ronak - however, he passed away due to a genetic disease. When she was little her mother would often show her more human practices that she grew up on as a child and now she has a small liking for music (her mother played piano often) - her mother also taught her the human instrument of the violin as she grew up playing it.

She hardly ever let her bullies get to her - they were often mocking her for being as smart as she was, saying she should be stupid as she was part human. However, there was one incident at the age of 12 where the bullies called her mother horrible things and she eventually snapped. She cares for her sister greatly and would protect her with her life. She is very careful to make sure she does not have to go through similar things she did.

She applied to and was accepted into the Vulcan Science Academy (VSA), however, declined the offer two weeks in as she was mocked for the idea that she could never possibly be fully Vulcan due to her genetic disadvantage. Her other applications were to a science university in Yorktown, and to Star Fleet on Terra. She made the decision that she would go to Star Fleet academy and pursue the sciences track.

She aimed to pursue mainly sciences and minor in Physics and Astronomy - but also take other classes such as Xeno-linguistics and Tactics. She is quite smart and studies extremely hard - does not socialize at all - spends her free time reading, learning, or meditating.

She did not originally make many friends at the academy. Her roommate Alexa Brown - who is in the Engineering division specializing in Material Engineering, became slightly close to her and they often talked about their studies and studied together. She also eventually made the acquaintance of Hannah Quillen who is on the Medical track specializing in Xenobiology. They both found themselves trying to fix a replicator that was not working properly. They became relatively close (Hannah dates Fianna and they also become acquainted) and Hannah eventually dragged E'lenr out to socialize more - much to her annoyance. She also met Lydia in her 2nd year when she accidentally ran into her. Lydia is very popular and was well known for being bright and bubbly and dating a lot. She is also extremely smart and is completing the accelerated course. She is in the Command division minoring in Interstellar law and set to become a captain.

E'lenr is not a social person, being Vulcan but she eventually gets dragged to some social events but often stands in the corner. Her time at the academy was very enjoyable and she joined a few clubs such as chess and Xeno-linguistics, as well as the choir and orchestra. She spent quite a bit of her time in the library reading or studying. She also ended up becoming a tutor quite early and tutoring a few of the younger students. She also got asked by a few teachers to help with lessons or to help grade papers which she gladly did. In her third year, she also started taking some classes and running some lectures. While she really enjoyed teaching she still desperately wanted to be out in space exploring and researching. She eventually gets asked by teachers to help program some simulations for the Command division, as well as becomes a teacher's assistant.

Long-Term Goals: To complete research into particles within supernovas and how they can be attributed to energy forms and dark matter (antimatter etc). Marriage is not a priority but if someone is found - maybe. Become chief science officer on a starship. Exploring the universe and discovering new things.
Personality: Responsible, nonsociable, curious, logical, reasonable, kind, quiet.

Personal Paradigm Shifts

Most Painful Experience: When she was 15 and her brother Stonik was sixteen she got kidnapped from the marketplace by the V'tosh ka'tur, the Vulcans without logic. They were disgusted by them as they were half Vulcan half human and wanted to do some tests on them. They were locked in an underground cell on the other side of Vulcan for around 10 days with hardly any food and had tests for new technology done on them (this included injecting diseases, starving them, forcing mind melds, taking blood samples, etc). She and Stonik stayed together and supported each other throughout the whole thing. There were also 5 other Vulcan children of ages 8, 12, 10, 10, and 11 whom they also helped. They finally made an escape attempt which they had been planning for a while. However when Stonik stayed to provide a distraction for her and the others to escape he was killed by phaser fire. This is something that almost broke her but she had to stay strong and get the other children out. They wandered in the desert scavenging and trying to survive for 4 days before they were found and returned. She would barely eat after and suffered from severe trauma.
Best Time: Experiencing space for the first time when flying to Star Fleet. The experience of being among the stars for the first time was unlike anything else and that cemented her goal to become a Star Fleet officer.
Most Crucial Experience: What made her switch to Star Fleet: in her second week at the VSA a professor called her out and said that she was doing remarkably well despite the human genes within her, he said that he had expected her to have bought her way into the academy due to her fathers status. She was extremely offended by this and made the decision to transfer to Star Fleet.
Role Model: Ambassador Spock, famous for being one of the first Vulcans to go to Star Fleet. Also, she greatly admired many Vulcans that went to Star Fleet as well as Captain Picard of the USS Enterprise.
