Personal History

Jacob grew up in the suburbs of downtown Seattle. His father was a well off business man, and stock investor. His family was well off, and very functional until one day when Jacob was nine years old. His father had made a few bad investments, and was threatening to have his business shut down. Lucky for the family a man came to his father and helped him out of his financial trouble. It was Slyfer Jones the first. The grandfather of Jacob’s childhood friend.

Jacob, and Slyfer spent most of their childhood boy activities. Sports, video games, etc. Slyfer had three sisters, and no brothers. Jacob wasn’t the brightest child in school, but had grades to keep a “b” average. When school was winding down Jacob started to look up at the stares. He knew it would be hard not to resist the urge to join Star Fleet after the wars. He made up his mind, and bid his family farewell.

Upon graduating from the academy, Jacob was given several assignments at the beginning of his career. The ships ranged from small frigates to full fitted battle cruisers. During one of his shore leaves he met a young woman by the name of Lisa Robison. She was a civilian consultant with the Starbase he was stationed at. After several meets and talks he popped the question. She accepted, and the wed the following shore leave.

Jacob spent several years after that running from one corner of the quadrant to the next. He grew tired of this, and was looking for positions close to home. With a daughter and wife back on earth. He CO at the time had mentioned that the academy was looking for a few good people to work and support the efforts at home. Jacob quickly filed for transfer, and now starts a new journey not far from his old home town.
