Personal History

Jenna was born just minutes after her twin sister Jessica in a Starfleet Medical Facility to parents Michael and Rosie Carranza. Spending most of her life in her hometown of Houston at the age of 16 her parents decided to move the family to quieter city bringing the Carranza family to Northeast Arkansas. It was also here that Jenna felt

more at ease with her life.

In her new home she quickly met and made a new friend, Chris Warren. These two would become almost inseparable until they joined Starfleet Academy together. The major factor that caused the two to meet was due to cheerleading tryouts at her high school. Deciding to show off for the football players Jenna attempted a risky routine and for her trouble she fell down and twisted her ankle. Only one of the players decided to come over and help which turned out to be Chris. Making their way to the medical facility on campus the two started talking and realized they had several things in common, including an urge to join Starfleet Academy. Even after her failure in the routine Jenna still made it onto the team.

Upon joining the Academy was the first time they split up due to the differences in their career plans. Jenna had decided to go through Tactical training while Chris mixed things up with Starfleet Intelligence. Regardless if the two ever saw each other they tried to keep in contact with each other, almost to the point of Jenna paying more attention to Chris then her studying and receiving low marks in Starship Piloting. After graduation Jenna never had a chance to say anything to Chris as he was shipped out immediately after receiving his rank which left the new graduate alone and sad. It was at this point Jenna would take her work more serious then she ever had as she knew Chris wouldn’t always be their to bail her out again.

Jenna’s first and only assignment was onboard Starbase 85. While she did serve during the Second Romulan War she saw little to no combat on the station, due to the remoteness of the base and distance from Romulan Space. However, during those few times the base saw combat Jenna served with complete distinction and earned a quick promotion to Ensign and was given more leadership experience under the Chief Tactical Officer. The last battle that Starbase 85 saw in the war was deadly consisting of heavy causalities onboard, including her boss and mentor. While the Assistant Chief Tactical Officer earned the full position Jenna was granted a battlefield promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade, with advancement to Assistant Chief Tactical Officer, by the base’s Group Commander she found out she had been abandoned by herself again. During the remainder of her tour she quickly found out the she and the CTO didn’t exactly see eye-to-eye. Realizing that she was only going to be held back she requested a transfer to Earth where she would become an Instructor at Starfleet Academy. The moment Jenna stepped foot on the campus she realized this was were she belonged, training the future of Starfleet like someone had done for her years ago.
