Personal History

Theo didn't really have a tough upbringing, being an only child he was well loved and nurtured. His father was a diplomat for the United Federation of Planets and mother is a Betazoid whom also was a diplomat. Theodore's parents always stressed taking pride in his background. While at school, Theo had a hard time getting school work completed on time, just being lazy and not concentrating on his studies. He would often skip school as child. In essence, he would prefer taking care of his body rather then doing school work. He participated in many sports and physical activities throughout his childhood. With the lack of Theo's academic drive and only having 1/2 Betazoid genes, he does possess little less than average telepathic ability. Although he does have a good sense of communicating with others which is by far more advanced than that of a full human.

When Theodore had thoughts joining Star fleet academy, he immediately did his research and read up on star fleet history. This really intrigued him enough to talk to a star fleet recruiter. Theo also thought it would be a good idea to get away from his home and friends for awhile. Especially his ex girlfriend (Lindsay) whom he still has a hard time getting over. Theo wanted to spend the rest of his natural born life with Lindsay but was never able to commit. Therefore, Lindsay moved on, Theodore really hasn't.

From an early age he was very fascinated with 19th and 20th century martial arts in which he participated in many tournaments. During High school (remembering what the recruiters told him.) Theo finally got his act together and started concentrating on his school work, he then applied to star fleet and after three times he was finally accepted.

First Assignment

Mission-The Wrong Vulcans

After graduating from the academy Theo was assigned to the USS Dauntless. He was nervous at first, being a new security Midshipman but he was at ease when then Lieutenant Commander Vaughn took the young man under his wing. In time he meet his fiance Lieutenant Cleo Banks whom changed his life and made him finally forget about the one that got away, Lindsay. While the Dauntless was on course for Romulus, renegade Vulcans took over the Dauntless and held the crew members hostage. This was Theo's first big mission which later turned out to become a heartache for Theo. For someone totally brand new to the Star Fleet, when the Vulcans took over the USS Dauntless and held everyone hostage on-board, he really needed to prove that he could be an asset to Star Fleet. While he and his crew were trapped in a make shift cell, He was able to use his smarts and with help from an intelligent Bolian NCO, the team were able to break away from the Vulcan captors and escape through a jeffrey tube located underneath the deck. Knowing that the Vulcans were anticipating every move, He needed his team to move out and reach an area for safety. Finally, reaching a maintenance room, Theo and his crew were investigating a possible escapee where they found a computer still logged on and a pool of blood near a hatch. This was proving that in fact a Star Fleet crew member had been in the room and was somehow trying to hack in to any system which could be of help. While investigating the computer for further evidence, gas was released throughout various areas of the ship and rendered his team unconscious until Dauntless Medical teams were there to assist in their recovery. He came too noticing that his team has survived their ordeal which was handed out by the hands of the Vulcans.

Although, his first mission as a Midshipman was a success in the fact that he kept his team alive, many other lives weren't spared and the lose of many of the crew still lingers with Theo to this day. Theo has grown weary of of certain Vulcans which will probably last until his dying days but, he cannot forget the valor and efforts of his fallen crew members. Upon the arrival to Romulus; Theo was awarded the Legion of Merit by the Romulan Senate for his efforts on-board the Dauntless while fighting the terrorist Vulcans. After the mission, Theo took some much needed down time with his fiance Cleo. While they partied and celebrated with Cleo's gypsy clan, they were attacked by a rival clan where Cleo was kidnapped. Bank's best friend an Andorian named Zenon and Theo set out on a journey to rescue Cleo as quickly as possible. They were successful in completing task, the pair were able to rescue Banks from her captors and bring her to safety. When everything seemed to safe, Theodore was called to tend to some urgent matters. Leaving Cleo in good hands with Zenon. Months passed with no word from his fiance with made the young security think something horrific had happened to his love. Caldecott constantly tried to contact her by every means he could think but to no avail. He came to the conclusion that she would never return to the Dauntless. He was also convinced that he would never see his fiance again.

To Theo's shock, Cleo returned to the Daunty clearly disheveled. She told him about the demise of her Mother and everything in camp but, Theo refused to marry her. He broke off the engagement which devastated the troubled Science Officer. He was adamant about his decision to leave her and the Dauntless all together. He didn't think he was mentally capable of being around his former love being what heart aches Cleo put him through while she was missing. He thought the break-up was necessary but not the way he demonstrated to Cleo. He would not forgive himself for putting her through that painful experience and will always be sorry for his actions.

Second Assignment: Transfer to USS Ticonderoga

Mission-Theo's Mistake

Theo now a Lieutenant Junior Grade read an opening for the USS Ticonderoga as Chief of Security. He was immediately interested and sent in an application to the proper chain of command, being cautious not to get his hopes up. He though the powers to be would think he was too young and deny the young Security Officer the opportunity. He was absolutely wrong. Too his surprise, his application was accepted, after receiving a strong references from the Tico's Chief of Security Emeritus. He then received the word to depart the Daunty and embark in his new and challenging position. Coincidence have it that both the Dauntless and Ticonderoga were moored up in Star Base Bravo at the same time, Caldecott received orders to report to his next ship but, not on the Tico itself. The orders stated that the young man report to a refitting dock on Star Base Bravo ship yards to check in with his new CO and crew. Not knowing what to expect, Theodore arrived at the ship yards to find an old dilapidated Freighter at the dock. He learned that his very first assignment as Chief of Security involved a covert operation which the crew of the Tico were to take head on. It involved an Uihvueri base was located within attack distance of Star Base Bravo. This in fact was a confidential mission and the crew were to take the old Maquis Freighter into the system and gather any intelligence. The serious matter is, where the crew were heading was near the Romulan border.

While en route Theo learned that he would assist with Engineering which seemed strange to him, since he was a obviously a security officer. He did not possess the advance knowledge that would even make the Warp Core chirp. The result of this was not pretty, Caldecott accidentally unlocked the magnetic interlocks causing the Matter and Antimatter to mix at a dangerous rate. The core temperature as a result damaging the injector coolant. Coolant then spilled onto a fellow officer's face inflicting severe burns. Caldecott felt this could've been avoided if he wasn't tasked to the Engine Room but he figured orders were orders. The officer did survive however, this wasn't the first impression the new Chief of Security wanted to make. Other incidents happened in the Engine Room as fires began burn and sirens screamed at a very high decibel. Theo immediately located a fire extinguisher and tried his best to fight the inferno, but to no avail. Being covered in smoke and not wearing the proper breathing apparatus, Caldecott felt slightly incapacitated due to the heavy smoke inhalation. Quick thinking on the part of a Tactical Officer was vital in extinguishing the fire, making the once thick heavy smoke die down. A total of three officers were injured one being due to Theodore's careless mistake which he regrets immensely. His only happiness was that no one was fatally injured and all returned to Star Base Bravo in one piece and breathing. Theo is very apologetic to the officer and vows that the next mission will not to upended by any of his mistakes. He is very much looking forward to serving on-board the Ticonderoga in a Security capacity this time around.

Mission- Diplomacy Gone Astray

The Tico’s last mission was supposed to be a simple one involving Ambassador Laer using her strong diplomatic abilities to quell civil un-rest with the conflicting Bishtar people. Theodore just recently promoted to full Lieutenant, main priority and that of his department were to provide escort details for the Betazoid Ambassador and the Bishtar combative cousins. The Security Department gained a new transferee, Ensign Keith Munroe. Caldecott thought it would be behoove the young Texan to assign him along with LT [JG] Pickern to escort the guests. Theo figured by joining his subordinates in helping keeping the peace while Ambassador worked her magic, he could gain an insight on the new security Ensign. The initial talks seemed to go nowhere due to the constant childish bickering of the Bishtar relatives. It seemed like the Federations’ goal of augmenting a unified Bishtar race into the United Federation of Planets was not an achievable feat. After a brief recess, the talks resumed and to make matters worse; Theo was experiencing severe headaches accompanied by inaudible chatter. Trying his best to manage the pain in order to perform his duties as Chief of Security became bleak. Theo sought the medical advice of a fellow Betazoid. Apparently, Caldecott was experiencing a post pubescent Betazoid undeveloped telepathy.

This diagnosis from Doctor Laer could not come at a worse as a cloaked Ferengi vessel named “Unlimited Profits” Captained by Commodore’s nemesis Daimon Whodat ; was the culprit in coordinating the civil un-rest. On top of this mess, a group of Nausicaans managed to beam on-board the Tico. Theo’s last order was to hand over the reins to Munroe and Pickern to neutralize the intruders before things could really get out of hand. Caldecott couldn’t have been more impressed with the efforts of his security teams as they did manage to eliminate the un-invited guests. The Ticonderoga managed to escape the ‘Unlimited Profits’ without sustaining severe damage and most importantly; the loss of her crew members. Theodore underwent treatment with the help of a fellow telepath Doctor Laer. The treatment resulted in Theo’s new found stronger telepathic ability.

War Games/Muro Nine and the Hunters.

During Tico’s next shore leave, the crew was re-called by Lieutenant Commander Donovan, the Strat Ops officer for a training simulation on Star Base Bravo. The crew had just gone through a grueling mission and time away was what everyone needed. The crew was briefed on a ‘cat and mouse’ like evolution involving two holographic ships. Theodore was assigned to Commander Gregg’s crew at the weapons console. The simulation was underway but moments, everything shut down as the crew was now ushered to the Observation Lounge on-board the Ticonderoga. When Theo arrived he felt it was odd how they were called off shore leave to partake in a training exercise then, ordered back onto the ship. MGen Mirax Terrik held the meeting with no signs of Tico’s Commanding Officer, Commodore Braggins.

Finally, the Major General informed the crew that Braggins was missing in action. While the crew was enjoying their shore leave, the Commodore was to coordinate a Venator squad to perform raids on the Uihvueri. He was obviously too hands on for the higher up’s liking and went missing along with the Venator. The crew now had to face finding the Venator which contained classified technology and Star Fleet did not want it to fall into the wrong hands. Especially, that of the Uihvueri people. Rescuing any survivors which included Paul Braggins was secondary in the minds of the powers that be. Caldecott was not particularly happy how the mission was prioritized, more seriously when it came to saving lives.

Theo handed the task to Lieutenant Junior Grade Keith Munroe to lead the Foxtrot watch who were to provide support and cover for Donovan’s SRT. The away teams were on-board the Renegade when they landed on the surface of Muro Nine. The SRT moved out first and was the first line in the recovery and extraction operation. Theo’s main job was to act as a liaison between the two teams and second in Command of the away teams. As soon as Foxtrot de-boarded the old Marquis Freighter, a sniper beyond the tree line fatally wounded Midshipman Kruse. Feeling helpless and vulnerable, Theo and Munroe moved into the hostile area hoping to find the enemy sniper. This was met with a negative result as Munroe was struck in the shoulder, causing the Chief of Security to carry him back to safety.

Theo was sweating profusely carrying the more than average sized Texan back to Renegade while trying to find sufficient cover of his own. A newly transferred Midshipman from the academy did all she could do but ultimately, Kruse was pronounced dead. She was able to treat Keith’s wounds while everyone else boarded the Renegade, getting word from Lieutenant Commander Donovan that their objectives were found. Another newly transferred officer, Lieutenant Jason Simmons whom was just giving the responsibility of CTO piloted to the SRT’s LZ. The crew were taking heavy fire from the hostiles but needed to extract the SRT and the objectives nonetheless. Caldecott figured it would be best if Addi and he provided the necessary cover to assist the SRT. This also proved to be futile since no cover was to found leaving the two officers hostile. Caldecott and Donaghue decided to board the freighter in order to save themselves but they were second too late. A missile was fired striking the hull causing exploded shrapnel to strike the two Security Guru’s.

Fortunately for the Security Chief, his armor took most of the pieces but, Donaghue was the unlucky one. Shrapnel struck Addi on the back of the knee, causing serious injury. She was unable to walk up the ramp on her own so Theo was back to rescue mode carrying the wounded Addi by her waist. This daunting task seemed impossible due to the massive blood loss from Addi, the blood was making the ramp slippery and difficult to get up. Doctor Dawn was able to reach out and grab the large Security boss by the hand and pull them up to safety. As soon as Theo and Addi boarded the SRT along with Braggins and an unidentified female followed suit. Jason was successful in piloting the Renegade back to the Tico, marking the mission a huge success but, to Theo’s dismay; the loss of Midshipman Kruse hit him hard. His first loss in a combat setting hurt the Hybrid’s ego and decision making. Although he is scarred, this mission was a lesson learned.

Third Assignment: Transfer to the USS Gettysburg

Theo accepted a lateral transfer but this time, it wasn’t within the 2nd Fleet where he was accustomed. Instead, it was a transfer to the USS Gettysburg in the 1st Fleet. When Theo arrived on Star Base Alpha, he found himself with too much shore time since the Getty was still embarked on a mission. Checking things out, he found himself inside the infamous “ Drunken Tribble.” Enjoying a nice cold beer, he was approached by an Andorian male who claimed he had evidence against someone of interest. Theo was cautious at first but when the Andorian produced a PADD with a surveillance video which allegedly showed, the Gettysburg’s FO involved in a shady transaction. Keval revealed that the transactions were in connection with exchanging pain killers for gold strips. Theo at first didn’t want to deal with this but, he was interested in seeing if the Andorian’s recount had much ground. After the two discusses things over, Keval had left leaving the Getty’s new COS with some thought and also, the PADD that held the evidence. After checking, into his temporary quarters; Theo received an invitation from his Commanding Officer. The invitation was for an after mission party that Captain Fitchel was throwing at his residence in Lake Placid, New York. Caldecott, being from New York City was excited to attend the barbeque seeing that he could stop home for a few days before heading up. Once he arrived, he finally met his new boss after spending some time on Alpha. He mingled with his new ship mates in a relaxed which was a refreshing first meeting with his superiors, colleagues, and subordinates. In a surprising turn of events, Theo was promoted to Lieutenant Commander while attending the gala along with Alice Dega. For the first time in his career, he felt like he was finally at home, not dealing with what he considered ‘*ss kissers’ of Star Fleet. He was indeed ready for a long stay on the USS Gettysburg.

Mission-Call of the Krynar

The Gettysburg was on its way to Orionis 74 to investigate suspected bio-weapons that were being harbored by various terrorist groups and pirates. The crew received word from the Fleet Commander to change course and head towards an asteroid that housed a Tellarite Mining Facility. The worse was, it was taking over and controlled by the mysterious Krynar species. The Gettysburg was tasked with penetrating through the system and to send an away team onto the Mining Facility. Theo was giving the command to lead the away teams where he rounded up 4 assault teams.

When his teams landed, they were beamed into a mess hall where sensors shown two Krynar life signs in the control room and docking bay. There were also four Tellarite beings in the control and three in the refinery. Caldecott along with Tango team headed to the control room, Alpha was sent to the refinery, and Bravo along with Charlie surged towards the docking bay. Little did Theo know, when his team stormed the control room the Krynar held a small orb and used it as a weapon. The small orb produced a gravitic pulse which sent the Tango crashing into a wall; killing Lieutenant Junior Dimo instantly. The Krynar ran off, apparently heading towards the docking bay subsequently taking out most of Bravo and Charlie teams. The combined suffered the most casualties only leaving two survivors. Theo and the remaining teams attempted to physically attack the Krynar. Caldecott being the only successful individual grab a hold of the beast but was dragged along for a ride.

Theo suffered many bruises in the process and was assisted by PO2 Thorne as he discharged multiple rounds at the Krynar antagonizing it further. The mysterious creature ruthlessly used its small orb on the poor Petty Officer, splitting him in two pieces. The Krynar then curled into a ball and was apparently going to destroy itself. Caldecott ordered surviving crew members to move away, as he assisted in picking up the severely aided crew. The team made their way into the control room and could hear a loud ‘pop’. The self-destruct blast was rather small only affecting the area around it. Once everything was safe to leave the control room, Theo and rest of the crew found that Krynar was gone…giving Star Fleet the Mining Facility. Eventually, all of them were beamed back aboard the Gettysburg safely.

Fourth Assignment: First Officer - USS Dauntless

Theo was taking by surprised when Captain Fitchel informed him that he had been selected to take over the Dauntless' vacant First Officer position. This was great news to Caldecott. His hard work and dedication seemed to paying off as his career in the 1st Fleet was coming to an end.

Saying his farewells to his fellow crew mates, he embarked on a shuttle, destination Star Base Bravo, his old home. He was assigned to the Dauntless straight out of the Academy. Theo was elated to be returning home and facing the challenges of his new post.

Once he went aboard the Dauntless, he meet with Captain Lornak and made his way to Ten Forward to see who was still around. He caught sight of one person familiar almost immediately, Griffin Wright who was still Chief Tactical Officer. He was happy seeing his old pal, one of his first friends on the Daunty.

To his surprise he also ran into an old shipmate while he was assigned to the Tico, Maggie Murphy who went missing. The was the lead investigator in her disappearance, ultimately closing the case as deceased. He thought he seen a ghost but Murphy explained the anomaly that was her disappearance. In Ten Forward he also met other crew members that were assigned to the Dauntless after he was gone.

Mission-Yadalla Prime

The Dauntless and her crew were tasked with picking up refugees on Yadalla Prime. In addition to that, they were also charged with repairing generators and curing an unknown illness that were killing off the Romulans. Theo had other things to do when the Dauntless reached Yadalla Prime, assembling a small team and finding a Romulan Operative who had vital information. This Romulan spy went by the name of 'S'Ten and had confidential particular to offer Star Fleet.

He was instructed by Captain Lornak to beam down with the away and inconspicuously shuffle away in order to find the spy. Both of them were informed by Commodore Feherty about the specific problems that Yadalla Prime were dealing with. The Tal'shiar government could not know of this covert operation. Caldecott chose Eyles and Murphy to accompany him on the side mission.

They were mistaken for waif and beamed to the lower district of Navata, The group were approached by a band of hoodlums, made up of different alien species. Caldecott and his team had to engage in hand to hand combat in order to quell the situation. With the help from the Romulan's friend, they were able to leave with minor injuries.

The helpers lead the Star Fleet Officers to S'Ten's location, finding him on his death bed. He had his team along with the Romulan beamed to the Dauntless with no issue. Science and Medical departments respectfully were able to find a cure, using Ferengi blood as the antidote. S'Ten was quickly healed and was able to share information with Captain Lornak and Commander Caldecott.

Nat then ordered the Daunty to rendezvous with an Acarmarian ship. This confused Theo as he thought he was heading back to Star Base Bravo. Once the ships met, Captain Lornak asked to speak with the First Officer in the Transporter Room. To Theo's chagrin, Nat informed him that he needed to get back to his home planet and was resigning his commission with Star Fleet. There he left Caldecott as acting Captain until they reached Bravo.

Once the Dauntless was safely docked, the crew were all informed that they were receiving a new Commanding Officer. It so happened to be Captain Torgh of lore.

Mission-Kidnapping of Torgh

The Dauntless was charged with escorting an Ambassador and his associate, Chief Diplomat Gav to Celes II. The two dignitaries were to negotiate dilithium use on the Federation's behalf. Celes II is known for being rich with that particular mineral.

During their journey, the Federation starship was attacked by a Klingon Bird of Prey which managed to destroy many high asset areas of the vessel. Captain Torgh was beamed off along with the Ambassador. These turn of events catapulted Caldecott to take Command in the Captain's Absence. Griffin Wright took the second chair, assisting the acting Captain.

Too add to the chaos, a virus was rendering civilian and crew members sick. Medical was able to quarantine people effected but they also experienced a rogue whom committed murder suicide. The Dauntless was in turmoil but the crew managed to keep to the objective.

When the Dauntless was only a few light years away, Torgh managed to sent them a message. Miraculously, he was also able to reach the Dauntless via a probe. Reunited with their Commanding Officer, the crew members arrived and orbited Celes II while Gav conducted his negotiations. Through the hardest of times, Caldecott kept a cool head and commanded the Dauntless with chivalry and to the best of his abilities. He couldn't be more thankful to the Dauntless' crew, who conducted themselves valiantly.
