Personal History

Early Star Fleet

Growing up as the daughter of a Star Fleet officer Leanne spent much of her early life moving from starship to starship. It was there that Leanne got her first look at the Star Fleet way of life. During her teenage years she found it hard to live with, due to the fact that her father moved more often than they would like and never had a chance to make any real friends. But, as the years moved by she realized what Star Fleet had to offer and decided to enroll at the Academy when she reached the age of 18. With her dad a Commander by that time a few strings were pulled to get the ship to return to Earth where he received a promotion to the rank of Captain and Leanne was accepted to the Academy.

Scoring higher in the areas of Tactical and Office Management Leanne chose the later as her major and leaving Tactical to serve as her minor during her time. Even with the war in its closing phase she was still sent out to a Space Station that was still recently recaptured by the Romulans and in the hand of Star Fleet, Space Station Sierra 18. With her time as Midshipman being served on the station she soon became eligible for her next stage of rank. With her new pip her duties increased and she became assigned as the station’s Alpha shift Communications Officer.

Leanne earned the reputation of always showing up on time and never missing one of her shifts. This was all about to change when the station was greeted by a species that had yet to be seen by the Federation. The telepathic Jinkarie were allowed to board the station, but soon after things started to go from bad to worse. A disease began to emit from them, unintentionally, and the entire population began to feel the symptoms. Even though she was in the early stages Leanne continued to man her station in the Command Center before a plasma conduit ruptured. During the time a repair of the conduit was permitted Leanne was incapacitated by the disease and was transported to Sickbay. With the Cardassians bring the supply of medicine to the station at the request of Commodore Roberts, Leanne was one of many who received the inoculation. With the crisis over Leanne was one of many officers who received promotions for their heroic efforts.

Following her assignment at Sierra 18 Leanne was given the opportunity to transfer to the Nova's Tactical Department under Kyle DeWitt. However, Star Fleet had other plans as the transfer orders had been changed to the Pegasus, which coincidentally was to join the Nova flotilla. Leanne continued to serve on the Pegasus until arrival at the newly constructed Star Base Delta. After being convinced by Kyle and Star Fleet itself she gave in and accepted the transfer to the ship along with Delta.

In her coming days on the Pegasus word came around of the newest addition to the Cicero class fleet, the USS James Madison. After she had been volunteered, by her Department Head, she soon found herself aboard the shuttlecraft like vessel. On their first mission the skills of the Communications officer weren’t needed as much as she thought. She didn’t take it against anyone as it was expected by her. As she manned a transporter console preparing for an emergency beamup, of the away team, she soon realized that they returned without any word passing down to her. Returning to Delta she wondered if this was the type of ship she needed to serve on. In the end she realized if she turned down this kind of opportunity she wouldn’t get a second chance. It was then she decided to remain aboard.

Space Station Sierra 18, SS-18

Barely surviving from her last mission Leanne was expecting to receive shoreleave in the Sol system. However, due to newer developments in the 3rd Fleet she had to be quickly recalled. The James Madison would continue on their special missions without her. Due to the Minos Korva incident a starship wasn’t available to deliver her to her new, yet old, assignment of Sierra 18. Instead she was given a runabout, USS Alabama, to arrive as quick as possible.

Unsure as to what here duties were to be Leanne eventually reported in to the station’s Acting Commanding Officer. Gabe Archer who had previously served as the Chief Science Officer awaited her in the Ready Room. While the new chain of command surprised her, it wasn’t anything compared to what she was about to have earned. With Commander Kaiser being elevated to the First Officer position an opening had developed for Chief Tactical Officer. Completely numb she accepted the position and hoped to be able to fill in the shoes left before her.
