Personal History

Ben grew up in San Francisco with his parents and half brother, were they lived in a rather pleasant house.

He met his best friend Barry Larkin in Elementary school, where the two became almost inseparable. Over the years, however, the 2 drifted apart, but still remain very close friends.

His Mother Died during his Senior Year in High School. This experience was not only painful for him but also helped him to decide what career he wanted to go into, as she went missing, presumed dead, aboard a ship defending the Federation from Borg Incursion

He graduated High School top of his class in Physics and History, the latter of which was his favourite subject.

However, despite this, his brother, Jim, had caused him a number of problems which had adversly affected his self esteem. 1 such problem was "Mom wouldn't have gone off on that ship if youy weren't here, she would've stayed and still be alive".

After his mother's death, Ben decided to join Star Fleet to become an Engineer, just like his mother had been. For that reason, he began to do extra studies on ship's systems in his own time, hoping to be prepared to join Star Fleet. He also took up an interest in Star Fleet history, specifically the history of ships names Enterprise, taking particular note of Ships commanded By Captain James.T.Kirk, beleiving him to be the quintessential officer, as he showed that recreation could fit in a Star Fleet officer's life.

He applied for Star Fleet Academy straight out of high school.
