Bridge Officer Certification

Star Fleet officers who pass the Bridge Officer's Test gain the Bridge Officer Certification. This certifies that the officer is allowed to serve in a commanding role on the Bridge. Officers with a Bridge Officer Certification can take command of the starship they are stationed on if they are required to by emergency situations, but are not able to serve as Captain, First Officer, or Second Officer until they have earned their Command Officer Certification.
