Brekka

Brekka is the inhabited fourth planet of the Delos system. This is the homeworld for the Brekkians, a humanoid species.

During the 22nd century, a Federation scout ship arrived in the system in order to document the system, as well as the indigenous species' development.

Due to the trade agreement between the Ornarans and the Brekkians, there was frequent freighter travel between this planet and Ornara.

The planet was found, in remote areas, to be able to sustain growth of a plant from which felicium could be produced, critical to the Ornarans.

Because Ornara could not sustain growth of the plant, the Brekkians grew it in large quantities.

In 2364, the USS Enterprise-D visited this planet to rescue an Ornaran freighter from its decaying orbit.
It was then discovered that the inhabitants of Brekka were keeping their planetary neighbors addicted to the narcotic, felicium, in order to boost and/or fuel their own planetary economy.
