Personal History

Simon was conceived under true love when his parents, Merrick and Claira, got married. When Simon was almost a year old Claira got very sick, with a virus that had been contracted when a traveler came to her work. Soon after, she passed, leaving Merrick to care for the boy. Simon and his father were close, but he clung to his aunt Yas whenever she came home for shore leave. She became like his mother, and he always missed her dearly when she was gone. Simon's paternal grandmother is a dangerous woman (psionic), as a result he has never met her in person. Merrick wouldn't tell Simon why, but there were whispers of her mind control and the harm she had caused to others. Simon has a secret, Isabel (his grandmother) has spoken to him before, in his mind, but he never told anyone. She can feel his power, but Simon, even as young as he is, knows its wrong and fights to stay in his normal life.

At the age of three his life was perfect, until one day changed it all. While Simon and Merrick were walking from the family shop, to the house (next door) they spotted something burning toward them, falling from the sky. Out of instinct Merrick ran into the house, but they weren't in long before a crash came bursting into the house. Merrick threw himself onto his son, saving Simon with his own life. Having lost both parents, his grandmother (Morianna Boehm) decided she couldn't handle the task of caring for this active boy. His aunt decided it would be best if Simon come and live with her, aboard the USS Dauntless. He also learned that he still had a link to his father, through his baby sister Syrii. His aunt told him all about Lymtara and Syrii, and it gave him something to look forward to in the future.

He still has nightmares, but seems to be coping with this very sudden lose. He loves to spend his time sneaking away from his caregivers to investigate the ship.

Hobbies and Pastimes: Exploring, playing with his cars and blocks, and learning about science from his aunt.
Personality: Very active and silly at times. When someone does something he doesn't care for, he scrunches up his nose. He likes to play hide and seek, even when nobody knows hes hiding.
