Personal History
William was born on the USS Endeavour in the Acamar System to Reggie and Diana Bodash. He spent the better part of his life aboard the starship, and when he turned 18, returned to Earth with his parents where he enlisted in Starfleet, following his parents footsteps after they retired. Upon his first assignment, he met Helena, a medical officer who had also recently graduated the Academy. They soon became very close and married. It was during this time that William gained the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade, and the position of Chief of Security became open on the vessel he was serving on.
It was given to another person who was also a Lt JG, which William wasn't happy about, but accepted, as it allowed him to spend more time with Helena. Shortly after, the ship he was assigned to was sent on a mission regarding Nausicaan raiders. It was on this mission that Helena was taken hostage and subsequently murdered. Her death impacted greatly on William, and he took an LOA after the 'successful' mission was finished. He was only gone for a few months before he returned to duty, requesting a spot as an Academy Instructor in order to cope with the loss and to leave the hectic life of Starship duty.
It was here that he learned he actually enjoyed instructing new Academy cadets, and when it was time for a psychological re-evaluation, he was fit for Starship duty, but requested to stay on at the Academy, feeling he had found his niche.
