Barzan II is the inhabited second planet in its star system, located in the Alpha Quadrant.
The planet has few natural resources, and is inhospitable to most lifeforms except the indigenous Barzans.
It is governed by the Barzanian Planetary Republic.
From orbit, this world has a green coloration and extremely thick cloud cover. Most species from Class M planets cannot breath this planet's atmosphere, and any Barzans that left their planet required breathing devices.
Notable Events:
In 2366, the USS Enterprise hosted negotiations in orbit of Barzan II for the right to control the newly-discovered "Barzan wormhole."
Unfortunately, it was discovered that the other end of the wormhole was not stable.
