Personal History

Jenna's early life was fairly unremarkable, spending her formative years getting into mischief with her twin brother in Minnesota on Earth. Inseperable, it was widely believed they would go far together. Together they applied for and were accepted into Gibraltar Point at the age of 19, and they suddenly they ceased to be inseperable; while Jonathan ("Jack" to everyone but their parents) excelled at the academic studies and the rigorous discipline, Jenna found the place a living hell. During their third year, Jenny caught an Instructor and fourth-year Cadet hazing new recruits and took matters into her own hands. The latest and most serious in a long line of infractions, Jenna was dismissed from the Academy.

Following her dismissal, Jenna worked for a time with a private security firm operating out of the Rigel system, until the Romulan War began. Returning back to Earth, Jenna called in a favour with the Cadet she had lost her commission protecting, and enlisted with the Marine Corps. Having grown up in the woods, Jenna excelled as a scout and was put forward for training in unconventional warfare on the frontier world of Calder II. When the world fell, she was a part of a thrown-together guerilla unit that operated behind enemy lines to harass Romulan supply lines and generally destabilise the occupation. When the world was liberated, the unit was broken up but she remained with Marine Special Operations, performing several missions behind Romulan lines - a job she excelled at and won herself a promotion to Sergeant close to the end of the war.

When the war ended, she was promoted to Staff Sergeant and spent most of her time working as a Drill Sergeant at Camp Gibraltar, though often found herself on special assignment as and when it was required. During this time she became fluent in Klingonese, Rhiansu and Cardassian while also becoming proficient in the weaponry and tactics of other races' military forces.

Shortly after the outbreak of the 3rd Romulan War, now a Gunnery Sergeant, Jenna and a team of Commandos were dispatched to destroy a Romulan Supply Depot. The mission failed and as a result the team were captured and spent the entire war as Prisoners of War. Returning from captivity at the conclusion of the conflict, Jenna was informed that her promotion to Master Sergeant had been approved, and that her new assignment was to be aboard the Special Operations Frigate Columbia. Jenna and her team were only aboard the Columbia for a short time, Jenna and Adaran never seeing eye-to-eye on several matters, and Jenna once again returned to a teaching position at Gibraltar Point.

The Krynar Conflict required experienced Marines to be assigned to Starships, but Jenna was kept on Mars to teach. It was only following the Gettysburg crew's disastrous experience on Ryla that she was assigned shipborne duty again, this time by the order of her brother (now Marine Commandant). She'd barely even unpacked her bags when the news that the Marine Corps was being disbanded was announced, and found herself now wearing the black uniform of Special Operations as the NCOIC of now Lieutenant Commander Dawson's Rapid Response Team with a promotion to the Special Operations Grade of Master Chief Special Warfare Operator.

Jenna remained with Dawson's team when it transferred to the Artemis for its expedition to the Delta Quadrant, but age was starting to catch up with her and she desired a change. When the Artemis' First Officer was promoted to Captain and assigned to take command of the Philadelphia, Jenna applied for the newly-vacant position of Chief of the Boat. Braggins accepted, and a new chapter in Jenna's career began as they departed for the unexplored Shackleton Expanse.
