Bajoran Agricultural Ministry

The Bajoran Agricultural Ministry is an agency on Bajor that handles affairs relating to agriculture.

The Ministry began research on the development of soil reclamators at some point prior to 2371. They were ready for use in that year, with Dahkur Province being one of the first to benefit from the Agricultural Ministry's new technology.

Rakantha Province, formerly one of the most productive agricultural regions Bajor had, like most of the planet, its soil poisoned by the Cardassians during the Occupation, and rendered unusable for agriculture.
To cleanse the soil, the Bajoran Agricultural Ministry developed soil reclamators to remove the poisons. The Government wanted to use them in Rakantha to allow agriculture to resume in that location, and be able to grow goods for export.
