Arrain is the fourth-highest officer rank of the Romulan Imperial Fleet. It has been translated into English as Centurion. An Arrain is an officer who has risen above the lower ranks through dedication and precision of duty. Arrainir are the backbone of the Imperial Fleet and make up the bulk of lower level command positions. And Arrain may be a Division Head or command a starship or a military facility.

Arrain is equivalent to the ranks of Lieutenant and Lieutenant Commander in Star Fleet.
