Star

Arbaza is a single star within the Lagardios (Dragon) Sector, and within the Milky Way’s Alpha Quadrant.

The star is approximately 77.1 light years from Sol (Earth). Its average apparent magnitude, as viewed from Earth, is 4.2, and its absolute visual magnitude is 2.3, making it about 10 times brighter than Sol. It is a red subgiant with a stellar classification of M7 and an average temperature of about 3,375 degrees Kelvin. (See also the Astronomical Terms Database.)

Planetary System

The Arbaza star hosts an inhabited planetary system with no less than one planet. Arbaza, a planet within the planetary system, and the Arbazan homeworld, is the origin of the star’s common name. Its inhabitants are members of the United Federation of Planets.

Circa Stardate 16900, Taxco, the Arbazan Ambassador to the United Federation of Planets, left Arbaza to visit Deep Space 9.
