American Continent Institute

The American Continent Institute was an institution of higher learning on Earth in the 23rd century.

The institute employed the research scientists who led the survey expedition of the SS Columbia in the 2230s.

• The Columbia, unfortunately, crashed on Talos IV in 2236, and the fate of the Captain was unknown until 2254.
  The USS Enterprise-D picked up what was received as a distress call, though it was a ruse by the Talosians.

The "ACI" was also responsible for excavating archeological sites on Tagus III.
