Governed by a fascist police state, prisoners on this planet are treated inhumanely.

Prisons were located underground, with prisoners implanted with a neural device designed to gradually drive the inmate(s) insane.

Prison conditions on this planet were harsh, with prisoners fighting for food, shelter, and medical supplies.

Left to their own devices, guards really only "intervened" when dropping off prisoners.
