• The Alcyone people destroy a Tarellian "plague ship," which is assumed as the last ship of this ill-fated species.
  The Tarellian people are thought to be extinct until a lone starship enters the Beta Cassius system in 2364.

• The Changeling Odo is brought to the Bajoran Institute of Science to be studied. Shortly after his arrival, it is realized that he is actually a sentient being.

• The Talaxian moon Rinax is attacked by the Haakonians. The moon is rendered uninhabitable, killing hundreds of thousands of Talaxians.

• Julian Bashir discovers that he was genetically enhanced.
