- May 6 - The "Hindenburg disaster": In the United States, the German airship "Hindenburg" bursts into flames when mooring to a mast in Lakehurst, New Jersey.
Out of the 36 passengers and 61 crew on board, 13 passengers and 22 crew die, as well as one member of the ground crew.
This incident is known for the phrase, "Oh, the humanity!"
- 300 Humans are kidnapped from Earth, and transported to the Delta Quadrant to serve as slaves.
Among the captives is famed pilot, Amelia Earhart.
