Personal History

Kirtaar Ragarri was born to K'Tiir and K'Taar Ragarri on July 15th, on Cait. At the time, his father was in Star Fleet, serving as a science officer, and held the rank of Lieutenant. His father left Star Fleet a few years later to raise his family, and for awhile Kirtaar was happy that his father was around to raise him. However, around 9 years of age, Kirtaar took a liking to the more violent sports at the time. His father tried to steer him towards peaceful sports, such as chess, but he stubbornly refused to cooperate with his father. A year later, his parents left for Cestus III, leaving Kirtaar in the care of the family patriarch. Kirtaar's patriarch was an ex-marine named R'Mar, who encouraged Kirtaar towards becoming a marine as well, directing him towards activities which would make him stronger, and more capable than most Caitians. On Kirtaar's 17th birthday, R'Mar brought by one of his Marine friends, who also happened to be a recruiter. The recruiter, gave Kirtaar a chance to take the Marine Corp Entrance Exam, on Cait. The next day, Kirtaar went down to the recruiting center to take the exam. His results, along with his salutorian graduation status, granted him the ability to not only be able to enter the SFMC, but also qualify for specialty training as a squad leader. Kirtaar was shipped off to the SFMC boot camp on Cait, and spent the next four years in training to become not only a skilled sniper, but also be capable of leading snipers in a specialized squad. After graduating from infantry school, and earning a few marksmanship medals, Kirtaar was shipped off as part of a squad to the SFMC Expeditionary Academy, to be trained in security, just in case he was to be reassigned at some point to Star Fleet. His first mission saw him deployed as part of a special ops unit, as the recon sniper, to a front-line battlefield. On that mission, Kirtaar was ordered to take out enemy officers utilizing the TR-116's transporter modification.

However, the op went wrong, and Kirtaar was stranded with three other soldiers behind enemy lines. Kirtaar, instead of waiting for extraction to be possible, modified his orders and fought his way back to the SFMC lines, all the while, shielding his teammates from harm. After arriving back at HQ, Kirtaar was given a commendation for heroism, and shipped off for another assignment. His second assignment, was to secure meeting sites for Theatre Command, and although bored with the job, did so as instructed. When his platoon leader was ordered into combat, Kirtaar joined him as personal fire support, and managed to keep the entire platoon alive through precision covering fire. Kirtaar however, was not rewarded with another front-line position, and was instead sent back to sniper school, as an instructor. For three years he taught the basics of sniping to new recruits, until he was sent a notice, informing him of a specialized Caitian sniper team forming, and a request for him to lead it. For 6 months, he trained his sniper squad to work as a cohesive unit, until command assigned him to the USS Intrepid CA-1708, to support Lieutenant Calhoun's platoon onboard the ship. Taking up command, Kirtaar left Cait again, and sent word to Calhoun that he would arrive as soon as logistics was able to get him to the ship.

A few years later, Kirtaar and his team were broken up as one of their members was killed in action. Kirtaar himself suffered a serious neurological injury from a poisonous bite. He was about to be given a medical discharge, when Star Fleet Intelligence approached him with an offer. They would reconstruct the nerves where he was injured, but in return, he would be attached as a mission specialist to SFI. Kirtaar, not wanting to leave service so soon, accepted the offer, and after a brief stay in a medical facility to repair the neurological damage, was shipped out to Andoria.

In the process, Kirtaar was asked to brush up on his combat engineering knowledge, and while he recuperated, Kirtaar learned another MOS alongside his existing MOS of scout sniper. On his way to Andoria, he passed his combat engineering MOS exam and was finally able to add that MOS to his official record. In recognition for his service aboard the Intrepid, and his handling of missions, Kirtaar was promoted to sergeant. Although he wouldn't be leading a squad, it was one of the few ways the SFMC could repay his service. Being a sniper and a combat engineer, Kirtaar felt that he would be able to make a larger difference, rather than just being a sniper.

On Stardate 22003.04, SCPO Kirtaar Ragarri was listed as killed in action while on an away mission during the attack on the Borg Megasphere. The section of the Megasphere he was in was bombarded by Federation tricobalt weaponry, and was presumed killed by the bombardment.
