Personal History
Desmond Recker Locke was born second in this growing family. Desmond was born under two Starfleet officers during a shore leave. Desmond lived on many starships throughout his life. Desmond was often referred to as secretive child, never speaking to anyone about personal things. The few friends he did have kept to themselves in their tight-knit friendship, respecting Desmond’s need for security. In Desmond’s teen years he played a different number of sports including, baseball, football, tennis, martial arts. Desmond took a liking to martial arts and is currently a brown belt. Other than that he replayed his teen years just as his younger years.
Ever since preschool Jonathan has been his closets and inseparable friend. Jonathan and Desmond went almost every where together. Even when they both where ‘dating’ the would go the same places and even lived in the same neighborhood. Even after high school they attended the Academy together and tried as hard as they could to take the same classes. Throughout all of their years you would find them together, hear the same things from each of them, and never hear either of their secrets.
His family being part of Star Fleet his home life was stricter than any other household he would hear of. Other than the strictness of the whole ordeal, they treated Desmond with kindness and respect once and when he got all of his chores and homework done. Desmond declared Maggie the nicer of the two. In grade school Desmond would always need help with work no matter what it was. Maggie would usually take time off her work just to help her child with work. A half a year after that she got permission to take an hour of work everyday to help him. Desmond, At the age of fifteen Maggie was killed in combat while commanding the U.S.S. Dawn; while he was aboard his father’s star base.
During summers Desmond would attend High School credit classes that would help him graduate early. Desmond accumulated enough credits to graduate a year early. He would have kept counting the amount of credits, but after learning that his brother would be forced to finish all of High School instead of graduating early he felt less interested in the classes. At this time in Desmond’ life he was already looking at joining Star Fleet. His parents had told them how vital high school was to them even if they didn’t realize it. Desmond’s parents had insisted that when they have children they would see it too. Desmond still disliked them a little for it, as he would have let his children graduate early.
During his actual high school years Desmond found interests in games such as Poker. He took a liking to the randomness of the game, and soon found to be at most of the friendly matches that took place at the school. While playing at the school he earned enough reputation to go to the national Poker games three out of the four years he attended his high school. Through luck he was able to win two out of the three he attended.
